The Hindu-IOCL environment day celebrations

: The Hindu in association with Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) Limited, Vijayawada Divisional Office, will organise the World Environment Day celebrations at 20 IOCL retail outlets in the city on June 5. The programme is being organised to bring awareness on environment protection.

As part of the programme, 3,000 free saplings will be distributed at 10 retail outlets in the city, while other activities would be taken up in all the20 outlets. The saplings will be distributed at Autonagar, Ramavarappadu, Gangur, Kanuru, Gunadala, Nidamanur and Gannavaram, etc.

DFO (Social Forestry) K. Ashok Kumar will inaugurate the distribution of saplings. He will also speak on 'environment protection' at Krishna District Lorry Owners Mutually Aided Stores, an IOCL outlet located at Gangur on June 5 at 9 a.m. IOCL Vijayawada Divisional Office Manager (Retail Sales) Jayanth Kumar Umakanth will attend the programme.
